GoldQuest Mining Selects O3 to Build Execution Discipline at the Romero Gold-Copper Project

GoldQuest brought the platform onto the project during BFS/FEL3 engineering, well ahead of construction, to centralize permits, contracts, engineering scope, procurement, and the Path of Construction in one environment.

Most large capital projects begin with information scattered across teams and systems. Environmental and sector permits sit with one group, contractor commitments live in email, and engineering scope, procurement, and the schedule occupy separate tools that do not talk to one another. Romero raised the stakes further. The project advances through a demanding regulatory process with multiple permits and contractual interfaces running in parallel, so GoldQuest chose to build the discipline of execution before construction began rather than correct it later in the field. Working in O3, the project team structured its regulatory permits with dates, classifications, and owners; consolidated contractual commitments across disciplines and contractors; defined project scope against the Advanced Work Packaging (AWP) hierarchy; developed the Path of Construction; and integrated the Primavera P6 master schedule so scope and work packages connect directly to the project timeline.

Working with the GoldQuest team, O3 developed a plot plan association capability for user-defined entities that produces a Path of Permits view, the regulatory counterpart to the Path of Construction. A permit is a constraint like any other, and mapping permits onto the plot plan lets the project team sequence work around regulatory readiness the same way they sequence around engineering and material readiness.
